The recession has not spared
lawyers from its impact. In
fact, lawyers have found themselves
immersed in fending off professional
liability claims directly traced to
segments of the economy which have
performed poorly or are vulnerable
to fraudulent practices. The
panel will present case studies to
encourage active dialogue
identifying potential malpractice
claims and suggested defense
strategies. Discussion will
include issues encountered by the
defense attorney as well as from the
carrier perspective. Claim
avoidance tips will also be
addressed - which will certainly be
of interest to practioners.
